Description
HCG 5000 IU contains Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a naturally occurring glycoprotein hormone with biological activity similar to luteinizing hormone (LH).
In males, HCG binds to LH receptors in the testes and stimulates Leydig cells, promoting endogenous testosterone production. Because of this mechanism, prescription HCG has established medical applications in selected cases of male hypogonadism and reproductive medicine.
HCG is also well established in female fertility treatment, where it can be administered under medical supervision to trigger final follicular maturation and ovulation as part of an appropriate fertility protocol.
Within bodybuilding communities, HCG is also known for its association with maintaining or restoring testicular function during periods of suppressed gonadotropin signaling. This is distinct from its approved medical indications and should not be presented as a substitute for medically supervised treatment.
The product is supplied as a 5000 IU lyophilized preparation for reconstitution. Because HCG is a biologically active prescription hormone, appropriate medical supervision and correct storage and handling are important.
