Description
17α-Methyl-1-Testosterone (M1T) is a very potent oral anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS). The 17α-methyl modification allows it to remain active when taken orally, but it is also associated with substantial liver stress. In performance-enhancing contexts, M1T became known for rapid increases in strength, body weight, and muscle mass, rather than for being a mild or beginner-oriented compound.
Compared with compounds such as Winstrol or Primobolan, M1T is generally associated with more aggressive anabolic effects and a considerably heavier adverse-effect burden. It does not aromatize directly into estrogen, but that does not make it low-risk.
Commonly sought features:
- Muscle mass — associated with relatively rapid increases in size and lean tissue.
- Strength — commonly sought for pronounced strength and performance effects.
- Potent anabolic activity — considered a particularly strong oral AAS.
- Bulking-oriented — more associated with gaining mass and strength than with cutting or definition.
- Orally active — its 17α-methyl structure enables oral administration.
- Does not directly aromatize — M1T itself is not converted into estrogen through aromatase.
- Not a mild oral steroid — its potency comes with significant potential adverse effects.
In short: M1T is a powerful oral AAS associated with rapid muscle and strength gains, but it is also regarded as a particularly harsh compound from a health-risk perspective.
Important risks include liver toxicity, severe deterioration of cholesterol, cardiovascular strain, androgenic effects, and strong suppression of natural testosterone production.
